Hand Joinery Class

In the Hand Joinery class we attempt to take the mystique out of hand cut dovetails and mortise and tenon joints. Many very seasoned woodworkers haven’t utilized hand joinery and we’re offering a class for the very seasoned and the new woodworkers to try their hand at it. You’ll learn layout, different styles of joints and their pros and cons, the tools needed to complete the joints, and you’ll actually make one of each styles. You’ll be using our tools we have here and we’ll go over in detail what you might need if you choose to continue practicing at home. This class is a requirement for the Dutch tool chest class as well. It’s approximately 4 hours but we’re ok if it goes long. Centuries of craftsman have utilized these joints to build pieces that have outlived them and will continue to for decades.
