Introduction to hand planing is a class designed to get you understanding what planes do, how to maximize their use, how to sharpen them, and to build a tool chest. You’ll be using a jack plane, shoulder plane, router plane, block plane, and smoothing plan along with some layout tools. This chest will be built entirely from beautiful cherry wood and you’ll leave with an abundance of knowledge, experience, and a beautiful chest that has many uses. All tools provided and refreshments.
Beginning to intermediate level.
Age: We have an age limit of 18 and older. If a parent or guardian would like their child under 18 to take a class, please contact Mark directly.
Bring to class: Eye protection, ear protection, dust protection, close toed shoes.
