Learn the art of using a lathe! We’ll be turning bowls on a lathe to get you familiar with the tools, and so you can turn a beautiful bowl! Turn a platter class. Come learn to turn a wood platter! Similar to the intermediate bowl class, taking a bowl class first is required. We'll be using what we learned in previous bowl class and adding different styles of high speed steel tools to make a beautiful platter. So many uses! We'll also be covering sharpening of some lathe tools.3 hour classCost $150 -
February 7 & 8, 2026 9am - 5pm each day
Build your own unique Steltman chair. This is a very contemporary chair that’s beautiful and surprisingly comfortable. It’s a big eye catcher at the school and a fun build. We’ll be working with a Festool domino, table saw, miter saw, router table, multiple hand planes, and sanders. You can chose to build yours from either maple, cherry, or walnut. Please add your choice under notes when you sign up. Cost is $640 which includes all materials, shop time, and professional instruction. -

Come build your own solid Maple Roubo split top work bench. We utilize the best materials including solid maple and all Benchcrafted hardware. This is an heirloom quality workbench designed to handle any project you build. The workbench is the foundation to ALL that you build and this one will not only be the heart and soul of your shop, it’s also a beautiful masterpiece. This is a limited class and will only have one per year. Everything in included. Max 3 students. 6-7 day class. -
February 1, 8, 15 & 22, 2026 6pm - 8pm - each night
These are fabulous chest used for centuries and are great chest to hold tools, or almost anything. We build the carcass in this class using cherry and walnut as a highlight. We do a lot of hand plane work along with some machine work to join the box using dado’s and cut nails. You’ll learn some mill techniques, hand planing, making dado’s by hand, and learning how to build understanding wood movement. Intermediate level class/ 4 day class -

A class built around the needs of our local area. You asked for it, and we made it! A one day course where we cover how to get started in woodworking! What different types, how to purchase wood, a brief description of hardwood species, what tools to use for your interests in woodworking, and most importantly safety. We dive into setup of machines and what hand tools to use in their place. Lastly we discuss the RIGHT steps to get each piece of wood properly dimensioned so each is square and you start with the best chance then of making a beautiful project. Learn to use hand tools properly to cut this joint used for literally centuries. We’ll show you how to do to layouts, what tools you’ll need, and the techniques to make your own dovetail joint. You’ll leave here with your own jointed boards, and the knowledge to now build almost any type of furniture using this joint. Beginning to advanced level 1 day 6 hours -

Have you taken the bowl class? This is your next step, re learning techniques presented in the bowl class, but we'll be stepping you up to High Speed Steel tools.
