  • Come build one of three designs of a charcuterie board from Walnut, maple, or cherry hardwood. This is a beginners class and can be taken individually or as a couple. We’ll be using the band saw to shape the board, drill press, sanders, a router table, and we’ll finish the board with food safe oil. This is a very fun class and takes about 3 hours. Materials and everything included.

  • Would you like to try your hand at some basic woodworking? See if building and creating with wood interests you? Come take our craft course where you can come in and choose from 1 of 5 projects to build. The schedule is very open and works with almost anyone’s schedule. Each project takes 3 hours or under and are beginning level items. You can make a winecuterie board, charcuterie board, candle holder, or coasters.
  • We’ll cover many aspect of woodworking in this predominantly hand tool class. Matt will take you on a journey of woodworking from past centuries and guide you to build your own walnut wall cabinet. Each cabinet will be distinct with some key learning points being: Hand Cut dovetail joinery, Mortise and tenon joinery., Tongue and groove., How to install hinges., How to make a panel door.
  • You asked for it, we made it! Come build your own river table! We use your choice of maple, cherry, or walnut lumber and build a coffee table size top. Approximately 22x46”. This will be a live edge centered river table. The first night we’ll prep the mold, prep the lumber and pour the epoxy. The second night we’ll flatten, sand, and apply a rubio monocoat finish. Come build one the right way in a clean safe environment, with the tools you need. Each class is two 4-5 hour evenings. Everything is included to make the top.
  • Build your own beautiful plant stand! This 6 hour class, or 2 3 hour night class is for beginner/intermediate levels. We use cherry, maple, or hackberry wood to build a stand that can also be taken a part and conveniently stored. This is a particularly fun group project!
  • Take your woodworking to the next level by making a long grain cutting board! In this class we look at 10 different types of hardwood and decide how to slice them to get the look YOU want. We use the table saw, router, sanders, and go over how to use a jointer/planer in class.
  • These are fabulous chest used for centuries and are great chest to hold tools, or almost anything. We build the carcass in this class using cherry and walnut as a highlight. We do a lot of hand plane work along with some machine work to join the box using dado’s and cut nails. You’ll learn some mill techniques, hand planing, and learning how to build understanding wood movement. We incorporate a custom locking lid in ours.

This is a class that will allow you to know what tools you feel best having and using to build the projects YOU want to build and know what NOT to buy. We’ll make a small cherry and walnut box in this class utilizing different styles of joinery.
  • A class built around the needs of our local area. You asked for it, and we made it! A one day course where we cover how to get started in woodworking! What different types, how to purchase wood, a brief description of hardwood species, what tools to use for your interests in woodworking, and most importantly safety. We dive into setup of machines and what hand tools to use in their place. Lastly we discuss the RIGHT steps to get each piece of wood properly dimensioned so each is square and you start with the best chance then of making a beautiful project.
  • Learn to use hand tools properly to cut this joint used for literally centuries. We’ll show you how to do to layouts, what tools you’ll need, and the techniques to make your own dovetail joint. You’ll leave here with your own jointed boards, and the knowledge to now build almost any type of furniture using this joint.

  • When you’re ready to dive into finding out what the real details are in building truly hand crafted fine furniture, this is your course. You’ll be building a shaker style side table starting with a chunk of 8/4 cherry and building the entire piece from one board. You’ll learn how to best use the lumber for the least waste and property grain patterns for easier building and a long lasting piece of furniture. This class will require machine work and also hand cut joinery.
  • In this class we’ll take maple, cherry and walnut and make one of these famous boards! We use a combination of power tools to make this board and end with applying a nice oil finish. We’re one of the only schools teaching this class just because we love everyone’s expression when the see it come together. Such fun!

  • Have you ever wanted to just build your own guitar? Learn how to set it up, how to install electronics, fret work and feeling what your future music will sound like? You’ll be building an ash bodied tele style guitar from scratch. This is a very limited class only run during summer months. Sign up early to get a spot!   • This is a very limited class where we help you build your own workbench. We take from Christopher Schwarz design and throw in our own modern flair. We use heavy duty northern pine wood and offer upgrades to the basic class. The basic workbench will be a solid yellow pine top and legs and have Andrew Kleins turbo vise installed as a tail or face vise.
  • This is a demonstration class designed to show you the ins and outs of using Epoxy in your projects! A lot of fun and a predecessor to the upcoming river table class.
  • This is a class brought up by an interest and need. We discuss and demonstrate some styles of wood carving and get you hands on by doing some spoon carving. A very informative and peaceful 4-5 hours!

We’ll have a choice of hand planes or the sanders next. Other skills will involve measuring and drilling. You’ll leave with a beautiful working finished bench!

This is an heirloom quality workbench designed to handle any project you build. The workbench is the foundation to ALL that you build and this one will not only be the heart and soul of your shop, it’s also a beautiful masterpiece.   • Build and then play your own electric cigar box guitar! Every thing is included to build your own in this one day class. Some experience suggested but not required. This is a great way to get started in building guitars, and they make great gifts! Learn the pleasure of not only building something but then making music with it!
