January 14, 15 & 16, 2025 6pm – 9pm each night
In this class you’ll be building one of three designs you pick from. End grain cutting boards are a far more unique looking board then your standard cutting board, and are better for your knives. This is a three evening class where you’ll learn to glue up, use a sled on a table saw, use a jointer, use a router, sand, and apply a finish. You’ll leave with a beautiful board of your own using local and exotic species of wood.Cost is $185 which covers everything including materials, shop time, and professional instruction.Max class size 4 Beginner to advanced -
In this 3 night course we’ll teach you how to cut and glue up maple, cherry, and walnut to make a hardwood 3D cutting board. All materials are supplied and you leave with a beautiful cutting board of your making. We’ll be using the band saw, router table, sanders, planer, and glue and clamps.

January 28, 29, & 30, 2025 6pm – 9pm each night
Come make this classic chess board in this three evening class. This mostly power tool class will help you get everything cut straight, parallel, and glued properly. We’ll be using maple and walnut as the contrast wood. WG Carlough will be the instructor on this class and brings over 20 years of instructing experience. Max class size is 4. -
This class is intended as a beginning class to get a person started into woodworking. We’ll go over terms, types of woods, over the tools and machine and what each one does and spend a lot of time talking safety. We’ll break for lunch then come back and begin to build a tool tote from cherry wood. You’ll leave with the confidence to start your own projects and what you’ll need to accomplish them. And a cool Tool Box!

A unique opportunity to learn to build a solid workbench while helping out the school! We’ll provide all the materials, tools and know how to build the benches. You donate your time and $200 and we’ll teach you to build the benches the school will use for decades. We’ll be using a design through Lost Art press and utilizing Benchcraft hardware to build heavy stout benches from yellow pine. Theres a lot to learn and you’ll be using fun and unique tools. Mark will even grill out for lunch each day.

In this 2 day course we’ll build electric pickup cigar box guitars. We’ll cover the overall build, explain different setup techniques, explain and demonstrate intonation, show you all the details most miss, and you’ll leave with a finished cigar box of your own!
