In this class you’ll learn the styles of different joints and different ways to make them. In fine furniture building knowing how to make solid Mortise and Tenon joints is very important and this class will get you started. We’ll be building a frame. Very similar to what’s used in pictures, or doors on cupboards. Another fun and relaxing class but one essential to growing your skills. A good course to take before the intermediate and advanced courses.

The Dutch style tool chest is becoming more and more popular. It’s a great chest to hold your hand tools safely without being so heavy you can’t carry it. It’s a great class to extend your knowledge of furniture joinery including dovetails, dado’s, rabbets, tongue and groove, and mortise and tenon. This is a primarily hand tool based class. It’s best for you to have taken a previous introduction to dovetail and mortise and tenon class but it’s not required. This is definitely one of the most fun builds we do here.
