Come build one of three designs of a charcuterie board from Walnut, maple, or cherry hardwood. This is a beginners class and can be taken individually or as a couple. We’ll be using the band saw to shape the board, drill press, sanders, a router table, and we’ll finish the board with food safe oil. This is a very fun class and takes about 3 hours. Wood is naturally anti-microbial and the best option for a cheese slicer. In this three hour class you’ll make your own wooden coasters! Learn some basic woodworking skills to get you started and build beautiful coasters for yourself or someone as a gift! We’ll pick through different woods, learn how to use a table saw, a band saw, routers, sanders and applying a beautiful finish. Both demonstrations and hands on activities in this course and it’s considered a beginning class.

A unique opportunity to learn to build a solid workbench while helping out the school! We’ll provide all the materials, tools and know how to build the benches. You donate your time and $200 and we’ll teach you to build the benches the school will use for decades. We’ll be using a design through Lost Art press and utilizing Benchcraft hardware to build heavy stout benches from yellow pine. Theres a lot to learn and you’ll be using fun and unique tools. Mark will even grill out for lunch each day.

The Dutch style tool chest is becoming more and more popular. It’s a great chest to hold your hand tools safely without being so heavy you can’t carry it. It’s a great class to extend your knowledge of furniture joinery including dovetails, dado’s, rabbets, tongue and groove, and mortise and tenon. This is a primarily hand tool based class. It’s best for you to have taken a previous introduction to dovetail and mortise and tenon class but it’s not required. This is definitely one of the most fun builds we do here.
