In this class we’ll take maple, cherry and walnut and make one of these famous boards! We use a combination of power tools to make this board and end with applying a nice oil finish. We’re one of the only schools teaching this class just because we love everyone’s expression when the see it come together. Such fun! Intermediate to advanced level -
February 22 & 23, 2025 9am – 5pm each day
This class is for beginners and people with previous experience that want to learn the process, tools, and materials to safely build hand made furniture. We each build our own side table from locally sourced cherry. We have a base prototype but everyone has the opportunity to make some small changes in the design. You’ll be using many foundation tools including powered tools, and hand tools. We’ll go through the proper use of all the tools, setups, and most of all safety. It’s a great and fun project to get you started in hand made woodworking projects.Max 6 students. -
February 17 - 23, 2025 9am – 5pm each day
Come build your own solid Maple Roubo split top work bench. We utilize the best materials including solid maple and all Benchcrafted hardware. This is an heirloom quality workbench designed to handle any project you build. The workbench is the foundation to ALL that you build and this one will not only be the heart and soul of your shop, it’s also a beautiful masterpiece. This is a limited class and will only have one per year. Everything in included. Max 3 students. 6-7 day class. -
February 13 & 20, 2024 6pm - 8pm each night
This is a great class to take after the learn to epoxy class and an absolutely beautiful piece your friends and family will rave about. We use 3/4” thick live edge walnut and just about any epoxy color you can think of! We focus on prep work, sanding to get a proper finish, and applying an oil wax finish in the class. Learn how to avoid the bubbles, getting the look you want while not making costly rookie mistakes. Max class size 4. -
January 28, 29, & 30, 2025 6pm – 9pm each night
Come make this classic chess board in this three evening class. This mostly power tool class will help you get everything cut straight, parallel, and glued properly. We’ll be using maple and walnut as the contrast wood. WG Carlough will be the instructor on this class and brings over 20 years of instructing experience. Max class size is 4. -
Come build one of three designs of a charcuterie board from Walnut, maple, or cherry hardwood. This is a beginners class and can be taken individually or as a couple. We’ll be using the band saw to shape the board, drill press, sanders, a router table, and we’ll finish the board with food safe oil. This is a very fun class and takes about 3 hours. Materials and everything included.

Would you like to try your hand at some basic woodworking? See if building and creating with wood interests you? Come take our craft course where you can come in and choose from 1 of 5 projects to build. The schedule is very open and works with almost anyone’s schedule. Each project takes 3 hours or under and are beginning level items. You can make a winecuterie board, charcuterie board, candle holder, or coasters.

We’ll cover many aspect of woodworking in this predominantly hand tool class. Matt will take you on a journey of woodworking from past centuries and guide you to build your own walnut wall cabinet. Each cabinet will be distinct with some key learning points being: Hand Cut dovetail joinery, Mortise and tenon joinery., Tongue and groove., How to install hinges., How to make a panel door.

These are fabulous chest used for centuries and are great chest to hold tools, or almost anything. We build the carcass in this class using cherry and walnut as a highlight. We do a lot of hand plane work along with some machine work to join the box using dado’s and cut nails. You’ll learn some mill techniques, hand planing, and learning how to build understanding wood movement. We incorporate a custom locking lid in ours.

A follow up to Intro 1 where we dive in deeper and go through the milling process, use different styles of joinery and get hands on with the tools to familiarize you with how to use them, how to stay safe for you and those around you. This is a class that will allow you to know what tools you feel best having and using to build the projects YOU want to build and know what NOT to buy. We’ll make a small box in this class utilizing different styles of joinery.
