We'll help in any way we can to help you do the basics so you feel more comfortable. From how to hang a picture, to what tools you'd need, to what machines you might need to start woodworking. All in a clean safe environment. With a little saw dust thrown in.

    A class built around the needs of our local area. You asked for it, and we made it! A one day course where we cover how to get started in woodworking! What different types, how to purchase wood, a brief description of hardwood species, what tools to use for your interests in woodworking, and most importantly safety. We dive into setup of machines and what hand tools to use in their place. Lastly we discuss the RIGHT steps to get each piece of wood properly dimensioned so each is square and you start with the best chance then of making a beautiful project.     Learn the art of using a lathe! We’ll be turning bowls on a lathe to get you familiar with the tools, and so you can turn a beautiful bowl! We’ll be making them out of either cherry, or black limba and you’ll take home a fully finished bowl ready to use! It’s much more fun to eat ice cream from you own hand made bowl! Cost is $130 which includes everything including materials, shop time, and professional instruction. Max class size is 3 Beginner to intermediate    
  • January 2, 2026 6pm – 8pm

    Come turn your own pen on a wood lathe! This is a beginning level class designed to not only make your own pen, but try your hand at wood turning. They are a lot of fun to make, make wonderful gifts, and there’s nothing like sculpting your own pen by your hand, for your own hand!! We have over 30 varieties of wood to choose from and we’ll take you start to finish so you take home your own hand made pen, but also know how to do it all on your own in future.
    Cost is $79 which includes all materials, shop time, and professional instruction.

  • March 10, 11 & 12, 2026 6pm – 9pm each night

    In this class you’ll be building one of three designs you pick from. End grain cutting boards are a far more unique looking board then your standard cutting board, and are better for your knives. This is a three evening class where you’ll learn to glue up, use a sled on a table saw, use a jointer, use a router, sand, and apply a finish. You’ll leave with a beautiful board of your own using local and exotic species of wood.
    Cost is $185 which covers everything including materials, shop time, and professional instruction.

  • January 20, 21 & 22, 2026 6pm – 9pm

    One of the favorite boards we make here as it's a very unique board with each being a bit different so come build your own! We use local and exotic lumber to make this one of a kind board. This is a 3 evening class. 6-9pm $175 includes all materials, professional instruction, and shop time.
  • February 1, 8, 15 & 22, 2026 6pm - 8pm - each night

    These are fabulous chest used for centuries and are great chest to hold tools, or almost anything. We build the carcass in this class using cherry and walnut as a highlight. We do a lot of hand plane work along with some machine work to join the box using dado’s and cut nails. You’ll learn some mill techniques, hand planing, making dado’s by hand, and learning how to build understanding wood movement. Intermediate level class/ 4 day class
  • February 21 , 2026 1pm - 3pm

  • January 29, 2026 6pm – 8pm

    Come build one of three designs of a charcuterie board from Walnut, maple, or cherry hardwood. This is a beginners class and can be taken individually or as a couple. We’ll be using the band saw to shape the board, drill press, sanders, a router table, and we’ll finish the board with food safe oil. This is a very fun class and takes about 3 hours. Materials and everything included.
  • December 16, 17 & 18 , 2025 6pm - 8pm

    In this class we’ll take maple, cherry and walnut and make one of these famous boards! We use a combination of power tools to make this board and end with applying a nice oil finish. We’re one of the only schools teaching this class just because we love everyone’s expression when the see it come together. Such fun! Intermediate to advanced level
  • March 28, 2026 9am – 12pm

    Turn a platter class. Come learn to turn a wood platter! Similar to the intermediate bowl class, taking a bowl class first is required. We'll be using what we learned in previous bowl class and adding different styles of high speed steel tools to make a beautiful platter. So many uses! We'll also be covering sharpening of some lathe tools.
