They are a lot of fun to make, make wonderful gifts, and there’s nothing like sculpting your own pen by your hand, for your own hand!! We have over 30 varieties of wood to choose from and we’ll take you start to finish so you take home your own hand made pen, but also know how to do it all on your own in future.

    Charcuterie Board Class – March 20

    March 20, 2025 6pm – 8pm

    Come build one of three designs of a charcuterie board from Walnut, maple, or cherry hardwood. This is a beginners class and can be taken individually or as a couple. We’ll be using the band saw to shape the board, drill press, sanders, a router table, and we’ll finish the board with food safe oil. This is a very fun class and takes about 3 hours. Materials and everything included.

    Seascape epoxy class – February 15

    Come learn to make sea scapes! We’ll provide you with all the materials, and know how in our wonderful facility. We provide everything needed for you to make your own sea scape board!     Wood Bowl Turning Class – March 22

    Learn the art of using a lathe! We’ll be turning bowls on a lathe to get you familiar with the tools, and so you can turn a beautiful bowl! We’ll be making them out of either cherry, or black limba and you’ll take home a fully finished bowl ready to use! It’s much more fun to eat ice cream from you own hand made bowl!     Cutting Board Class – March 11 & 12

    Take your woodworking to the next level by making a long grain cutting board! In this class we look at 10 different types of hardwood and decide how to slice them to get the look YOU want. We use the table saw, router, sanders, and go over how to use a jointer/planer in class. Beginning to intermediate level 2 nights, 2 hours each.

    End Grain Cutting Board Class – February 4, 5 & 6

    In this class you’ll be building one of three designs you pick from. End grain cutting boards are a far more unique looking board then your standard cutting board, and are better for your knives. This is a three evening class where you’ll learn to glue up, use a sled on a table saw, use a jointer, use a router, sand, and apply a finish. You’ll leave with a beautiful board of your own using local and exotic species of wood.
    Cost is $185 which covers everything including materials, shop time, and professional instruction.

    Chess Board Class – January 28, 29, & 30

    Come make this classic chess board in this three evening class. This mostly power tool class will help you get everything cut straight, parallel, and glued properly. We’ll be using maple and walnut as the contrast wood. WG Carlough will be the instructor on this class and brings over 20 years of instructing experience. Max class size is 4.

    Introduction to Woodworking 2 – February 2

    A follow up to Intro 1 where we dive in deeper and go through the milling process, use different styles of joinery and get hands on with the tools to familiarize you with how to use them, how to stay safe for you and those around you. This is a class that will allow you to know what tools you feel best having and using to build the projects YOU want to build and know what NOT to buy. We’ll make a small cherry and walnut box in this class utilizing different styles of joinery.
