It’s a beautiful piece and one that will get attention for years to come. We’ll be building it out of cherry and curly maple.
  • This class is intended as a beginning class to get a person started into woodworking. We’ll go over terms, types of woods, over the tools and machine and what each one does and spend a lot of time talking safety. We’ll break for lunch then come back and begin to build a tool tote from cherry wood. You’ll leave with the confidence to start your own projects and what you’ll need to accomplish them. And a cool Tool Box!
  • What to expect: The first part we discuss and show the 12 different types of wood that are available. We then show how to use a table saw correctly and safely. We go right into glue up. The second half we show you how to use a planer and belt sander. We then pick an edging style and show you how to use a router table. We then show you how to use an orbital sander. Finally, we oil up the board to protect and bring out the natural grain. Lastly bring home your new custom cutting board!
