You’ll get a bit of hands on during this class just to show you how fun it is! This is one of the classes we suggest to families that want to have their children come out and take a class.

Would you like to try your hand at some basic woodworking? See if building and creating with wood interests you? Come take our craft course where you can come in and choose from 1 of 4 projects to build. The schedule is very open and works with almost anyone’s schedule. Each project takes 3 hours or under and are beginning level items. You can make a cheese slicer, charcuterie board, candle holder, or coasters.

A follow up to Intro 1 where we dive in deeper and go through the milling process, use different styles of joinery and get hands on with the tools to familiarize you with how to use them, how to stay safe for you and those around you. This is a class that will allow you to know what tools you feel best having and using to build the projects YOU want to build and know what NOT to buy. We’ll make a small box in this class utilizing different styles of joinery.

A class built around the needs of our local area. You asked for it, and we made it! A one day course where we cover how to get started in woodworking! What different types, how to purchase wood, a brief description of hardwood species, what tools to use for your interests in woodworking, and most importantly safety. We dive into setup of machines and what hand tools to use in their place. Lastly we discuss the RIGHT steps to get each piece of wood properly dimensioned so each is square and you start with the best chance then of making a beautiful project.

Do you want to not only have a sign in your home expressing your thoughts, but to also make it yourself? Put nearly anything on it you’d like? In this course using a laser engraver, you can come in and make the wooden sign yourself, and we’ll laser engrave the saying of your choice. We use cherry wood and each sign is approximately 5’ x 12”.

Take your woodworking to the next level by making a long grain cutting board! In this class we look at 10 different types of hardwood and decide how to slice them to get the look YOU want. We use the table saw, router, sanders, and go over how to use a jointer/planer in class.

Requirement: Hand joinery class or equivalent required. The Dutch style tool chest is becoming more and more popular. It’s a great chest to hold your hand tools safely without being so heavy you can’t carry it. It’s a great class to extend your knowledge of furniture joinery including dovetails, dado’s, rabbets, tongue and groove, and mortise and tenon. This is a primarily hand tool based class. It’s best for you to have taken a previous introduction to dovetail and mortise and tenon class but it’s not required. This is definitely one of the most fun builds we do here. Materials are included. We do offer an upgrade of hand forged hardware as seen on the chest pictured. Please contact Mark for information.

In this class we’ll take maple, cherry and walnut and make one of these famous boards! We use a combination of power tools to make this board and end with applying a nice oil finish. We’re one of the only schools teaching this class just because we love everyone’s expression when the see it come together. Such fun!
